Wang Yundan Visits Chinese Ambassador to Turkey, EMRA Chairman
On March 11, 2019, SEP Chairman Wang Yundan went to Ankara Province, Turkey, and paid a visit to Deng Li, China's new Ambassador to Turkey.
Wang gave a report to Ambassador Deng on the development of Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant and the next work plan, and expressed thanks to the embassy for its long-term support and help. Wang noted that SEP will further leverage the synergistic advantage of its parent company SPIC in Turkey, explore local electricity market in an in-depth manner, and will not only construct Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant into the most advanced, cleanest and efficient coal-fired power project in Turkey, but also actively develop new projects in renewable energy and integrated smart energy sectors in order to better support the Belt and Road construction. Meanwhile, the company will continue to strengthen the Party leadership and improve overseas Party construction under the guidance of the embassy.
Deng welcomed the visit of Wang and his delegation. He indicated that Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant is a direct investment project with the largest amount carried out by Chinese enterprise in Turkey, which the embassy has been paying special attention to and providing positive support for. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges in Turkish economic and social development, enhancing overseas Party building, etc.
Liu Yuhua, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Turkey, Huang Chen, SEP Deputy President and EMBA Electricity Production Inc. (EMBA) Chairman, and Wu Ming, SEP General Counsel and EMBA Executive Director, as well as related personnel from SEP International Business Department and AVIC-INTL Project Engineering Company Representative Office in Turkey, accompanied Wang on the visit.
On the same day, Wang also paid a call on Mustafa Yilmaz, Chairman of Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) in Turkey. Yilmaz expressed care and recognition for SEP's project development in Turkey, recommended the company to develop renewable energy and power distribution and sales projects further in Turkey, and voiced willingness to fully support SEP in its following investment and development as always. Wang expressed gratitude to Turkish government and EMRA for their assistance and support given to Hunutlu Coal-fired Power Plant, and stated that SEP will actively explore and develop renewable energy and power distribution and sales projects in the meantime of boosting the existing project smoothly.
