Huaihu Coal Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huaihu Coal Power”)
Huaihu Coal Power, established in January 2005, was initiated and founded jointly by Shanghai Electric Power and Huainan Coal Mining (Group) LLC, with a registered capital as 2.494 billion yuan. Currently, the shareholding ratio of Shanghai Electric Power in Huaihu Coal Power is 50%. Huaihu Coal Power, with its main business as coal mining and power generation, is one of the key projects of China’s Eastward Transmission of Anhui Electric Power Plan. Its subsidiaries include Tianji Power Plant and the supporting Dingji Coal Mine. Tianji Power Plant is the pit-mouth power plant of coal-electricity integration operation encouraged by China, with 2 sets of 630,000-kilowatt coal-fired power units of its first-stage project put into production in 2007.
